What Grinds My Gears...........................................Jordanian Newspapers

First of all, I never knew about an unwritten rule of having a news story about King Abdullah as the first story of them all. An thats not just Alrai. Most of the others follow the same "tradition." I mean the guy told you people to stop carrying his picture at the Olympics. Get the freakin' hint. He does not want the Goddish attention.

Secondly, browser compatibility is trashy at best. If a newspaper wants to be widely read and followed, it must work on a website that is compatible with most major browsers.

Thirdly, the daily ass kissing campaign by many of Jordan's "prominent" writers is really becoming embarrassing.

Fourdly (according to RJ), please please do some real journalism. Copying, pasting, and translating from other news sources couldn't be any further from the journalism taught at the worst of universities. So. please, again, put that damn knowledge to work. Have guts. Only those with courage will ever make it.

I actually went and emailed all the Jordanian newspapers asking them to add an RSS feed. The only one that bothered to respond was al-ghad. They said they're already working on it!

I think Al-ghad is the most progressive of them all.

What do you mean by progressive? Technology wise? Maybe, but the best is alarabalyawm, they do have a little bit of balls left in them.

Mohanned,

I meant in the columns sense. Columns at al-ghad don't to many of the likes of al-gallab.
