I laughed so hard when I read your comment. It's painfully true!
Excuse me, but I heard the same about USA! An area of 100*100 miles^2 covered with soler cells can power the whole states!
And it is said that 1% of 1% of the solar radiation that reaches the grounds is enough to power all of the civilizations and industries on earth!
Energy polices are too complicated! I mean what if the states had this 100*100 grids? a single bomb can blast them into smithereens! This is not my point, the point is, these calculations are possible when we have high efficiency soler grids that are affordable at the same time!
Things are a lot harder than what they might sound!
