- His Jordanian landlord in Jabal Elweibdeh flinched when heard of his nationality and tried to over charge him for utilities. (Shame on you يا ساقط يا سرسري) anyways, he found another, better place in western Amman.
- while riding a ميكروبص he dropped a metal 0.5JD (وأعت نُص ضنار بين المئاعد) he dropped on his knees and started looking for it while everyone was wondering what he was doing. Finally two other passengers took out نُص ليرة and offered to give them to him (!صعبت عليهم)
- had Mansaf at gabri and Knafeh at Habibah (BTW he swore that my Mansaf was a lot better. well, anybody's Mansaf is a lot better than Jabri's)
- He was shocked to see scantily dressed Ammani girls at Upstairs. He mentioned that those tramps would trump American girls! but, at the same time he wondered about all the honor crimes happening in the country. Well, I guess there are two Jordans.
- In general, Jordanians were very nice but not Palestinians. (ouch!!)
- Palestinians hated him a little more for being an Egyptian. (understandable)
an Egyptian in Jordan: Racism and hot chicks
An Egyptian friend of mine was in Amman for the Summer. Here are a few of his observations:

15 ►I charge thee, speak!:
1. They do that to anyone who's not residing in Jordan. If your friend was a Jordanian جاي من الخليج he probably would have been charged triple.
2. Don't want to sound horrible but LOL
3. He should have tried the kobbeh bi laban :)
4. وين أهاليهم هدول
5. هو كان يسأل كل واحد منيح معه انت فلسطيني و لا أردني؟
6. Not fair, but very understandable.
1. A Jordanian raising the price when he hears that he's Egyptian?! Is that a joke or something?
2. By micro bus I hope you mean the likes of Amman-Sweileh Toyota Coaster buses, last time I checked micro buses were in Cairo and Damascus not Amman.
3. OK.
4. Sine when it is shocking to realize that there is more than one stream in a big city?
5. He carried a DNA tester with him?
On a side note, the second I land in Egypt every time and disclose my nationality as a Jordanian, Egyptians immediately hit me by "Jordanian Jordanian or Jordanian Palestinian?" If I say Jordanian they'll go "I knew it, Palestinians are a pain in the ass, no one likes them", if I say I am Palestinian they'll go "wade7, aslokom 5awagat, mish zai el ordoneyah bedew!". My bet is you're a Jordanian Jordanian and your friend knew it before telling that.
6. To my understanding, both sides hate Egyptians equally.
guys, I just retold the above observations as they were confessed to me. I am not sure how a non-jo, non-pal would react to jo's and pals, but this guy didn't really have anything to gain by fabricating.
loool @ "To my understanding, both sides hate Egyptians equally."
LOL at your friend and the comments, I agree with Omar 200%.
dude, Egyptians are natural born fabricators (to some it's called: sweet talkers), it's not about what he would gain.
@Haitham, I don't think Palestinians take it to the next level... it is just that as a Palestinian-Jordanian, you are more exposed to 'our' ta5alof than that of other Arab populations.
I know people from the Gulf who view Arabs from other countries as 'beggars coming to steal our money', and in Saudi Arabia they have the whole najdawi/hejazi thing similar to the palestinian fala7/madani mindest. Look at how Muslim Egyptians view Coptics, and compare that to how Palestinian Muslims & Christians get along.
Bottom line - العرب جرب, and it is not confined to the Palestinians ;) Hell, its not even confined to the Arabs... look at whats going on in America about the Islamic centre in NY!
I have to agree with Haitham
I have lived in Germany for 13 years , in Berlin and there were many Arabs, so that means many Palestinians and the first question which they ask you is are you Jordanian or Palestinian , even before they ask you about your name !! But i don't wanna generalize because i met more Palestinians who weren't like the first kind at all ! I met a man with his family from Al-Khalil and if everybody on the world would be like him there would be no wars and there wouldn't be something called climate crisis or racism or anything else bad !!
Guys, in my opinion, you should be armed with a little bit of understanding/knowledge of some Arab "issues," like the Jordanian-Palestinian "thing" before you throw racist comments here and there. I think you are still young, so educate yourselves and avoid judging others as well as misconceptions and stereotypes. Take it easy.
Maboo3s,
You say: "Be respectful of others' opinions or I will kick your ass." Regardless of what I think of your little "warning," do you think you are being respectful when you are racist? You are entitled to your own opinion, but you don't have the right to hurt some people with your racist comments. What are you trying to prove?! Are you trying to get hits on your blog?! Meanwhile, you say: "Arabs need to read." Right. I agree with you. But do YOU read? I am not sure. Anyway, get rid of racism. You stink of it.
hahaha go fuck urself u and ur fake fucked up friend how the fuck will he no if a random guy is Jordanian or Palestinian .. dumb mother fucker Jordanians liked him and Palestinians didnt... bullshit ur a mother fuckin racist !!!! oii and u btter be careful while choosing ur words.. now days were in a exposed world i dont think its the right time to make racist comments against Arabs people just think about it people living in Israel which is a very fake country are getting educated every single day and they know loads about us as ARABS and us Arabs we dont know shiiit all what we no is being racist between each other if he's from Palestine or Jordan even Lebanon or Syria comeon people just get educated ...

I mostly agree with him, but when it comes to #4, I don't think it's
" 100% true"
